Atsuko was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga at 8 Limbs in 2002. She was gradually attracted to the beauty of yoga and it was strong enough for her to proceed through the three-year teacher training, which she completed in 2008. Atsuko's students enjoy her sense of humor. One of her goals is for everyone to enjoy yoga.

"When I'm on my yoga mat, I feel that I begin to surrender to stillness and peace. Asana is not only the strengthening of my physical body but also the training of my mind by focusing it. It challenges me and gives me a sense of satisfaction. Yoga brings joy into my daily life. It is a simple and yet a very special feeling."
