8 Limbs' Beginners Program combines the wisdom of ancient yoga techniques with the knowledge of western exercise physiology. We teach traditional Ashtanga Yoga in a format that makes it safe and accessible for newcomers to yoga or to Ashtanga yoga.
No yoga experience is needed to participate in the level 1 Beginner's classes. The course is very informative, covering the important fundamentals of Ashtanga Yoga that make it unique to other yoga styles, as well as introducing the primary sequence 'yoga chikitsa' or yoga therapy. You will be learning a sequence of yoga postures so it is important that you attend each class in order. The first class may seem slow, be patient as this changes quickly! Enjoy!
All classes run as normal on public holidays except over the Festive Season when classes are reduced.
